ABOUT
Marisa holds a BFA in Theatre Design & Technology from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point with an emphasis in Lighting Design and Scenic Painting. She also studied Stage Management and Scenic Design.
Marisa loves engaging the creative part of her mind in her work to create unique and interesting lighting solutions. She worked as a freelance lighting designer, electrician, and scenic artist in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and spent several years in a Specifications Manager role at SGM Lighting. Other experiences in the field include an internship in Project Management at Electronic Theatre Controls (ETC); House Management at the Milwaukee Repertory Theatre; Lead Technician for UW-Stevens Point's "Program Services" which included setting up and running lighting and audio for campus events; building scenery as a Scene Shop assistant (carpenter); and as a lighting technician for the Carlsten Art Gallery.

Outside of lighting, Marisa holds an MSF (Motorcycle Safety Foundation) Certification as a Rider Coach, teaching new riders how to operate a motorcycle and be safe on the road. She also enjoys spending time hiking, snowboarding, taking solo cross-country motorcycle trips.
